Our originating SIP device does not do Authentication and our VoIP/PSTN gateway carrier requires it. Is there any way to configure the SIP Proxy to respond to the 407 Authentication Required INVITE message? Otherwise could this somehow be done through the plug-in or Global iNet account?

Hi bit,

The best approach would be to have the DLL plug-in handle 407 INVITE challenge responses when they come back from your PSTN gateway carrier. This can be accomplished in various ways but is absolutely possible to do.

We are a bit curious – What SIP client are you using that does not support 401 or 407 challenge responses?

Give us more info about your deployment scenario and we will help as much as we can.

Thanks,

Support
