Broadband VOIP Tests:
Speed is your friend when we're talking about network telephony and Voice over IP applications.
In a recent combined group test in July 2007, using soft phones designed around the LanScape VOIP Media Engine™, Broadband network IP phone calls were initiated from Minneapolis Minnesota and San Jose California. The calls routed through the Dallas Texas area before finally reaching the call endpoints. Complete call setup and full exchange of streaming telephony data was achieved in an average of 550 milliseconds per call connection. Calls were conducted between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm CST.
