Do your samples and code compile with VS2008?
I want to make sure it works with the .net framework 2.0.

Do your samples include a tts sample in media engine 6.0 for c#?

Hello Sam,

Thanks for your post.

All the samples (C/C++ and .NET) all compile using Visual Studio 2008.

Note: The TTS C/C++ sample requires that the “SAPI 5.1 SDK” or later be installed and available to your VS2008 environment.

The media engine can be used with .NET framework 2.0.

No, Sorry. :(

However, the good news is the media engine supplies a TTS sample app that is coded in C/C++. This will show you all the basic steps to take TTS generated sample audio blocks and feed them into the VOIP media engine. Really, its pretty simple. Also, don’t forget that my support group and I are here to answer all of your development questions!

If you really get stuck, we can also offer your company our paid support agreement where by we can code up any sample code or applications you request.

Thanks again Sam,

Randal

Does the library work with virtual machines. I know there are timer related issues with asterisk on certain virtual machines that are not adapted to run asterisk.

Hello Sam,

We are not aware of any issues running VOIP media engine based apps inside any virtual machine. At least we have not had any customer reports of problems.

We use VmWare workstation quite a bit and have not seen any issues.

Thank you,

Randal
