Dear Support,

Does the LanScape engine support the following conference call scenario?

Line 1 and Line 2 use the same conference ID. User make a call to Line 1 from device 1 (Party A), Line 1 pick up the call using GoOffHook() function, and Line 2 make a call using MakeCall() function to the destination (Party B). In this scenario, can Party A talk with Party B?

Besides create the call conference between Line 1 and Line 2, any other things we need to take care? eg. use OpenTxIvrChannel() function to open the Tx channel.

Your scenario is exactly correct. The thing to remember is this: Any phone lines having the same conference session ID will be able to share full duplex call audio when they are placed into the “conference mode”. This applies no matter how the calls were set up.

If we are strictly speaking about putting calls into conference sessions, then NO, nothing else needs to be performed by the VOIP app.

These are good questions!
